About a year ago, we were fascinated with the idea of an online aggregator of salons. As consumers, we personally experienced major gaps in the offline salon experience like absence of advance-booking option (leading to lot of waiting time in salons), no option to explore various salons, their services, ratings or reviews, offers or discounts, or even their overall look and feel. At a time when we have app of literally everything, there is no dedicated app for salon services.
This drove us to create a new App that will bridge the gap between the customers and the salons.
After all, grooming is not only desirable for millennials, it’s quintessential.

Having worked for 15 years as a mechanical engineer in top brands across the automobile industry at various positions, handling domestic and international businesses, Ajit decided to break the barriers of being an employee to an entrepreneur. Ajit’s inquisitiveness towards technological advancement, ability to transform complex ideas into simplest output and zeal to develop a technology based application that contributes to the current era of the social revolution led to the launch of da Salon app under Shipshape Innovations Pvt Limited.
An IT graduate and MBA, Sushil Upadhyaya has worked for companies across service industries like Education, Media and Hospitality over the span of 15+ years. A thorough professional with strong business knowledge, Sushil left his corporate job and ventured into his own company Abode corporate solutions, which is into transit accommodation business based in Noida and spread on Pan India level. Experimenting constantly with the best way to serve customers and having a rich experience of creating a profitable eco-system in his business, Sushil decided to join hands with Ajit, his childhood friend to conceptualize, create and evolve Da Salon, their venture to bring versatility in the Indian salon & beauty industry.
Running his own advertising firm over the last seven years, Nimesh broke the barriers of being an employee and dared to venture into his own corporation which deals with marketing and channel activation projects. Nimesh is a true professional who is very analytical and structured in his way of working. What makes him another pillar of Shipshape Innovations Pvt. Ltd is his ability to break larger problems into workflows and streamline them in order to reach the solutions. He has had the experience of handling a workforce on the ground and has worked on multiple corporate projects successfully.
A computer science engineer and an MBA with a marketing major, Charlie has rich experience of working with top brands which includes business development and category marketing in an eCommerce major and multiple sales stints across Modern Trade and General Trade along with a National Role in Corporate Commercial verticals with one of the biggest FMCG brand. In addition to operations and marketing, he has also been closely associated with other verticals like – supply chain, finance, brands, channel marketing, MIS teams and senior leadership of the organization which is crucial for a broader understanding of the business. His key strengths lie in people management and customer relations on one side while marketing execution and strategies on the other side.
