In the meantime let us give you some skincare tips ahead of Holi so that your skin beats the aggressive effects of the colours.
1. Apply oil on the skin to prevent allergies
The colours used during Holi may contain chemicals that can cause skin allergies. To prevent any colour from being trapped in your skin folds, apply oil to create a barrier. Use a combination of organic coconut oil, castor oil, almond oil, a tbsp each with a tinge of essential oils, to keep your skin free from acne and skin allergies. It will also moisturise your skin and keep it healthy at all times.
2. Paint your nails
Paint your nails when you go out to play Holi. The nail paint will prevent the cuticles from becoming damaged and prevent the holi colours to settle on them. Apply a thick coat of nail paint, so that the colours do not get an opportunity to slip in between the nail and cuticle gaps.

3. Use ice cubes to close skin pores
Another way to protect your skin from colours and water during Holi is to use ice cubes on the skin. Wrap a few ice cubes in a kerchief or cloth and rub them for 10-15 mins on the sensitive areas. This will close the skin pores, prevent any colour penetration, and save your skin from any nasty outbursts.
4. Use sunscreen
Holi is the onset of summer and the heat can be a bit uncomfortable, especially after winter. Your skin usually transitions during this time of the yearand the UV Rays from the sun Holi can upset your skin. Using a water-resistant sunscreen with a high SPF value can prevent any tan and offer protection from UV rays from the sunlight.
5. Use petroleum jelly instead of lipstick
Petroleum jelly protects your lips from the harmful chemicals in the colours. Apply a generous amount to keep it hydrated and protect while you enjoy the colours of Holi.
